Ok, I don’t want to offend anybody… wait, yes I do actually… this is just stupid now!!

I acknowledge that there are many levels of education in the world, as well as different levels of desire to be clear and precise in your writing.  For some, it doesn’t really fit into their point to worry about grammar or spelling.  Doesn’t it occur to people, though, that if you write and sound like an idiot, people are far less likely to pay heed to what you are saying?

Isn’t that just common sense?

If you want people to listen to your ramblings about the NFL, Obama, or Britney Spears, how about making an effort to sound somewhat like you have a brain inside your head.

A football team doesn’t “loose” a game, they “lose”, by the way.

Obama’s slipups are legion and often would be fixed if someone would just proofread his speeches, since you know whatever he says is programmed.  Didn’t this guy edit a law review somewhere?

I won’t waste any time on Britney Spears since she is just a flat train wreck, and I hope the majority of the English speaking world realizes that.  She makes me sorry to be from Louisiana…

I’ll stop rambling now, I guess.  Bottom line people..

please, please, please

make some effort to read what you are putting out for the world to see. It only takes a moment and there is a function in the modern world called spell check to make it even faster. I will never claim to be absolutely error free in the things I say, but I at least give it a shot….

What have we got to “loose”??

Well, it’s Sunday night of this long holiday weekend.  It’s been a lot of fun and very hectic.  Lots of family visiting us and vice versa.  A couple of parties. Braving the shopping crowds.  And finally, today, taking the tree down and starting the cleanup of it all…;)

Today has been mostly watching football while cleaning and there have been some good games.  The final game for the day is Dallas and Washington and Dallas will clinch a playoff spot with a win.  If you don’t already know, I’m a Cowboy fan, although I’m from New Orleans.  Dallas just scored their second touchdown so it’s looking good so far.

So, wherever you are this weekend and whatever you did, I hope it was fun.  Mine was great and I’m praying for the ending to be just as good…;)
