What is the best film school if you want to be all rounded (directing, producing, writing, etc.) but have zero experience?
I really like to get on a prestigious school, is undoubtedly one of the top five, and money no object, but the experience! is what I did take those home videos very basic. I am a student at a university in Nairobi, Kenya, I am currently doing a degree in communications but want to transfer next year. no of a portfolio, take 1.should basic video production and screenwriting course at my university, or simply apply to endure? 2.which and would be best for an all-terrain writing, producing, directing, editing, punctuation, etc. .. market etc. [Professionals have few movies here (Kenya) as its better to have] Extensive training 3.and an international student? 4.which is best seen by the industry? 5.which graduates most prolific filmmakers? help I'm running out of time and search Internet seem to be clouding, no clear my vision? then meet again that different schools have different philosophies and approaches to teaching of the film? What should I be looking? "
The best in the U.S. would be UCLA, USC, University of New York, followed by the AFI, Cal Arts, University of Chiago, Emerson, University of Montana in Bozeman. On a non-credit (it's best to do this after college) Sundance conisdered program is outstanding. But unless things have changed not give accreditation degree diploma or certificate only. Sundance would make a great place to study post grad.
