Just started a new book

I’m reading “How to Win Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie.
So far I’m very intrigued and I’ve seen some pretty good insights.
One that I just tweeted was by Sigmund Freud -
“Everything you and I do springs from two motives: the sex urge and the desire to be great.”
I think that is pretty profound and if you give it some thought, there is a lot of validity there.
We try to look good, get a good job and money, drive a fancy car, be funny, get educated and any number of other pursuits just to attract the opposite sex and try to attain sexual satisfaction.
On the other hand, we want to be famous, rich, popular, educated, succesful, athletic, and much more in the desire to be great.
Does anybody else see this?
