Site Move and other happenings…

Good morning, all….

I hope this message finds you doing well.

If you came to the site in the last couple of days, you may have found that it was offline for a time.  Sorry about that but I was moving webhosts and it just takes a little time to get it all done.

Everything seems to be working fine with the site now and I think it’s good to go.

Well, we had a very good weekend this past weekend.  Lots of good stuff going on for my family and also great weather, which sure is nice in the middle of August.

My oldest daughter, Brianna, turned 18 yesterday and so we had a party for her at the house.  It was very nice and quite a family members showed up, which was great.  She also had a few of her best friends over and join her for the party.  Afterwards, they went and drove around for a little bit as she is still learning to drive and has got that “driving fever”….;)

I actually did not get to be there for the whole party, as it was the first day of school for me.  I am starting to work on one of my life-long goals, which is to learn how to fly.  I started an Aviation Ground School class last night at my local community college.  It will be 1 semester of learning all the basics of flying and then midway through the semester, as our instructor recommends, I will start actual flying lessons.

I’m very excited to get this started and I can’t wait to begin flying myself.  I’ve loved flying since I was a little kid and always wanted to learn how.  I got plenty of exposure to planes as a mechanic in the Marine Corps, but never was the pilot.

Now, I’m going to remedy that..;)
